Small Business Health Care Tax Credit

Earlier this year
two Acts were enacted to provide incentives for small businesses.
The Small business Health Care Tax Credit helps small businesses
afford the cost of covering their employees and is specifically
targeted for those with low-and moderate-income workers. The
credit is designed to encourage small employers to offer health
insurance coverage for the first time or maintain coverage they
already have. Under the Hiring Incentives to Restore
Employment (HIRE) Act two new tax benefits are available to
employers who hire certain previously unemployed worker ("qualified
employees"). Attending this workshop will provide you with the
necessary information you will need in order to qualify for these
credits

The $9 Billion Connection – Doing Business with the State of
California

The State of California contracts
out more than $9 billion every year! Agencies are encouraged
to award at least 25% of their annual contracting dollars to
certified Small Businesses (SBs) and 3% to certified Disabled
Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBEs).
They also give a 5% bid preference to certified SBs and may offer up
to a 5% incentive to DVBEs in the formal bid process. Learn about
the different contracting opportunities available to you!
